Yaropud Taras


Taras Yaropud (violin) is a professor of Violin Chair at the P.I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.

He graduated from the Khmelnytsky College of Music, P.I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine and finished post-graduate course of the same institution (class of prof. B. Kotorovich).

Taras is the winner of the Grand Prix of the All-Ukrainian competition «New Names of Ukraine» (1998); since 1999 he is a musician of the National chamber ensemble «Kyiv Soloists» (conductor D. Logvin, Honored Artist of Ukraine), since 2003 - the second violin of the string quartet «Collegium».

In 2000-2001 T. Yaropud got a scholarship and internship at the «Normen Kentury University» (USA) at the class of professors Eretz Ofer and Joram Yonherman. At the same time he participated in master classes with such renowned violinists as Ida Haendel, Kurt Sasmanhauz, Krzystof Smetana.

Taras maintains solo activity, performing at international music festivals. His repertoire includes compositions of various styles and epochs.
