Stéphane Réty (flute) is the professor of Carl Maria von Weber Dresden University of Music (Germany). He is the soloist of the Bazel Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra (Switzerland).

Stéphane received his education in Nantes Conservatoire, the National Higher Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris (class of Professor Michel Debost).

He is the winner of the International Competition in Vierzon, J.P.Rampal International Flute Competition (France).

Stéphane Réty is the flute group concertmaster of the Basel Radio Symphony Orchestra (Switzerland), the Pars Orchestra, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic orchestra (France), the Tonhalle Symphony Orchestra (Zurich, Switzerland) the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra (Germany).

He performs as a soloist in Europe, America and Asia with such artists as Augustin Dumay (violin), Katia and Marie Labaque (piano), Marie-Pierre Langlamet (harp), Wolfgang Holzmair (vocal) and others, under the baton of such conductors as Pierre Boulez, Nello Santi, Armin Jordan, Jean-Bernard Pommier and other famous conductors. Stéphane Réty gives master-classes in France, Belgium, USA, Korea, and Brazil.

He has made some records of the 2-nd suite by J.S.Bach (conductor- Rudolf Barshai), 2-nd and 4-th Brandenburg Concertos with the ‘Seul’ chamber ensemble, ‘Fantaisie’ of Gabriel Faure, a record dedicated to Claude Debussy where all the compositions are orchestrated by S. Réty and the harper N. Tyule.

Si le principe des transcriptions n’est pas en soi des plus recommandables, il faut reconnaître ici que les deux interprètes n’ont pas trahi l’esprit de Debussy…souhaitons que des compositeurs écrivent spécialement pour ce duo d’une rare qualité.
