Director of Arts Production Management, Michael Gurfinkel was born in 1960 in Russia.
He has learned to play clarinet from his father, a wonderful musician and teacher.
In 1979-1984 studied in Gnesins Musical Institute in Moscow with. Professor Fedotov. Already in 1983, Mr. Gurfinkel had won second price in an international contest.
He has played with many famous musicians,
like the Borodin Quartet, "The Moscow Virtuosi" under Vladimir Spivakov, and others.
In 1986-1990 Mr. Gurfinkel was a Principal clarinet & bass clarinet of the USSR Symphony Orchestra under leadership of Gennady Rozdestvensky.
In 1990 Michael had moved to Israel.
From 1991, he is a Principal clarinetist
of the New Israel Opera. In 1994 he has played with Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under Maestro Zubin Mehta.
Today Mr. Gurfinkel is a very popular clarinettist in Israel. He is performing actively chamber music and teaches in Israel and abroad.
Under the leadership of Michael Gurfinkel, Arts Production Management offers to audience the most talented artists: soloists and ensembles, as well as orchestras and conductors.
It also organizes and produces music festivals and special events.
