Grigoriy Lyzhov is the Candidate of Art Studies, associate professor of the Music Theory Chair at P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
He was educated at P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, defended a thesis «Motet compositions theoretical problems of the second half of the 16th century» in 2003 (based on the Magnum opus musicum by Orlando di Lasso) (hid scientific adviser was Prof. Y.H. Kholopov).
Since 1998 he has been teaching the course of Harmony and Scores Reading at the Music Theory Department of Moscow State Conservatory, taking part in the courses of musical theoretical systems and history of orchestral styles.
Grigoriy Lyzhov is the author of the articles on history and theory of harmony and other publications.
