Zieschang Michael


MICHAEL ZIESCHANG (piano) is a professor of Robert Schumann University of Music and Media (Düsseldorf, Germany). He also teaches at the Dortmund University (Germany).

Michael Zieschang received his education in Düsseldorf and Essen. He was a scholarship holder of Ciem Mozart and trained at the International Piano School with professor Fausto Zadra (Lausanne, Switzerland).

M. Zieschang is a laureate of the international piano competitions «Estate Musicale» (Switzerland, Lugano), «Concorso Viotti» (Italy, Cesia Varallo), «Concorso pianistico di Marsala» (Italy, Marsala), as well as the competition of vocal accompaniment «Concerto delle donne» (Germany, Kassel).

M. Zieschang toured as soloist in the cities of Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia, Taiwan, with orchestras Philharmonia Hungarica (Germany), Warsaw Symphony Orchestra (Poland), with a chamber ensemble Dianopolis (Bulgaria) and other groups.

In 1990 he taught in Wilderswil (Switzerland).

Since 1997, every year he takes part as a choral tutor in the choral academy of Siena (Italy).

Michael Zieschang has studio recordings of such composers as Scriabin, Mussorgsky, Karg-Elert etc.
